About this item
Encode and stream from your camera to up to 20 local or streaming locations to reach unlimited endpoints with the Serv 4K (2024) from Teradek. Updated in 2024, the Serv 4K has an improved OLED display, 50% quieter operation with better heat management, and better mounting options. It allows you to input up to DCI 4K60 4:2:2 video via HDMI or 12G-SDI ports, and it supports 10-bit HDR color. You can output encoded video via multiple methods, including Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi, and 12G-SDI loop output for monitoring, and there are two USB-C ports that support optional cellular bonding using modems such as the Node 5G. The built-in SD card slot allows you to record your stream locally.

Hardware
Serv 4K has been refreshed to offer better status and menu control directly from the device's OLED display. Heat management has also been completely re-designed to help it run up to 50% quieter. In production, the Serv 4K can be mounted directly to the camera or stationed at video village.
Scaling
Whether you have additional cameras to stream or you are shooting in a location without Wi-Fi, Teradek has all the hardware and cell data you need to scale your production. Add one, or all three, of these products depending on your needs.

Camera-to-Cloud Streaming
Metadata is captured from your camera. Teradek's Serv 4K and Serv Micro create color-accurate instant recordings in up to 10-bit 4K HDR. Content is sent to your cloud of choice to manage and share, giving productions the flexibility to operate within their established workflows. Supported cloud services include:
Teradek Core
Teradek TV
Frame.io
Sony Ci Media Cloud
PIX
Supported Cameras
Each camera manufacturer and each camera define their metadata differently. Teradek encoders must therefore parse the information coming out of the SDI feed and determine how to best pull the necessary information.
