Steven Malcolm - Tree (CD)

Tree, the third studio album from 5x GMA Dove Award-nominated hip-hop artist Steven Malcolm is a triumphant milestone. Malcolm has blossomed into one of the most influential voices in hip-hop, like a rose from concrete. The Grand Rapids native described by Dirty-Glove as Michigan's best-kept secret digs deeper into the roots of his inspiration with Tree. Jamaicans pronounce the number 3, tree. This being my third studio album focused on the growth and fruit that came from a foundation rooted in truth, says Malcolm. The album acts as a window into Malcolm's mind and soul as he recollects experiences that have shaped him as a man and artist. His honesty, intensity, and brainy lyricism reign supreme throughout the 16-track project. Tree features several award-winning artists such as Snoop Dogg, Shaggy, Social Club Misfits, and KB. Upbeat tracks like Rooftop Freestyle and Respect are reinforced with powerful production by renowned producers BoogzDaBeast, FNZ, and Sango. The depths of his devotion deepens with Heavenly Father, Glory On Me, and Demons; juxtaposed with Summertime, a stylistic tune that oozes West Coast flavor. Malcolm's versatility ascends with dancehall-infused bops Jah Ah de King and Fuego (Remix) which amassed more than 6. 2M global streams. His world-class flow shines bright on Accelerate and Red Light Green Light, a posse cut with his IVAV labelmates. There's so much significance that comes from the word. My music has become my legacy, changing the trajectory of my lineage and my family tree, he adds. Overall, Tree is an eclectic depiction of Malcolm's past, present, and future. TRACKLISTING: 1.
