The U2 Shuttle from OWC / Other World Computing is a U.2 drive carrier that is equipped with a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and fits into 3.5" drive bays. Inside, there are four M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots, making the U2 Shutter suitable for media production workflows, including video editors, audio producers, photographers, graphic designers, and more. Powered via bus power, the U2 Shutter supports software-controlled RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, and 10, each of which produces performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is available. Additionally, independent volumes are bootable in macOS.

U2 Shuttles are also optimized for a strong and long working life. From running double checks on data and correcting errors to ensuring the uniform use of its flash media, Aura P12 equipped U2 Shuttles are calibrated for endurance as a factory pre-set.
