Audio Modeling Swam String Sections
New to Version 3
The following features are new in Version 3:
Standalone version, introduced VST3 plug-in format, and Native Instruments NKS compatibility
Powerful MIDI Mapping feature that supports CC, Hi-Res CC, After-Touch NRPN, and remapping curves that allow more customization and sensitivity to any controller
Realistic Legatos
New Pizzicato Model
General Sound improvement and behavior of bowed string
Timbral Correction: You’ll be able to select up to two harmonics to adjust (for emphasis or reduction)
Real-time bow Sensitivity Control (on Bowing mode), giving you the ability to transform the bow from a short bow with soft strokes to a full-length bow with strong strokes
Start Playing for Real
SWAM Engine digitally handcrafted acoustic instruments are never a simple recording of notes via sample libraries, but rather a set of real virtual instruments based on their traditional counterparts. While a sample library repeats a prerecorded sound, SWAM instruments play for real.
Realistic Virtual Violin
SWAM Violin V3 is a realistic, real-time-controllable, and expressive virtual violin. SWAM technology guarantees the same natural reactions as real instruments, letting you compose orchestral pieces or concertos utilizing powerful instruments with natural, fluid expression. SWAM Violin V3 is an instrument based on physical modeling, making it possible to control the main mechanical variables in real time. For example, the velocity can control the attack of the sound and the portamento time when playing legato. The modulation wheel can control the vibrato and any foot pedal can be assigned to the expression. There is indeed no limit to the number of possible combinations.
For Stage and Studio Production
SWAM Technology overcomes the limitations that are typical of traditional samplers through a combination of innovative performance techniques and concepts of physical and behavioral modeling, with no samples required.
Play with Real-Time Controls
Control the following parameters in real time via MIDI controllers or your DAW:
Expression (dynamic)
Note transitions (staccato/legato/portamento) with no key switches
Bow pressure
Bow position
Play mode (bowed, pizzicato, or col legno)
Mono vs double polyphony
Vibrato depth
Vibrato rate
Tremolo on/off
Tremolo speed
Harmonics
Portamento time
Portamento split point (across strings)
Attack speed
Dynamic transitions
Sordino on/off
String preferred selection
Alternate fingering
Bow lift and bow start (up/down)
Sustain
Microtuning
Main volume
Pan pot
Reverb mix
Digitally Handcrafted Instruments
Tired of giga-sized libraries of prerecorded audio and the limitations of traditional samplers? SWAM Violin V3 is the solution. It was developed using Audio Modeling's proprietary SWAM-S engine, a powerful physical-modeling technology derived from the digital waveguides approach.

SWAM Viola V3 is not a simple recording of notes triggered via sample libraries. It's a virtual viola, digitally modeled to sound real. While a sample library repeats a prerecorded sound, SWAM instruments play for real.

SWAM Technology overcomes the limitations that are typical of traditional samplers through a combination of innovative performance techniques and concepts of physical and behavioral modeling, with no samples required. Choose SWAM Viola for composing, producing, or performing any musical genre by layering it in sections with no artifacts and simply by selecting different timbres for each instance. Because of its low CPU load, the software lends itself to live performance as well.
